Central Provisions is a James Beard Award-nominated restaurant located in the Old Port. A cook at our restaurant has the opportunity to experience a wide variety of culinary styles and products in our seasonally inspired small plates restaurant with international flavors. We make everything from scratch; from the most basic stocks to pasta to goat cheese. Chef Chris is fanatic about making sure every ingredient is used to it’s fullest potential in flavor and food cost. Animals and fish are brought in whole and every part is used in some aspect of the menu. We source our ingredients from local farms as much as possible and never use GMOs.
Highly motivated professional cooks that have a strong desire to learn and the ability to take direction well will thrive at our restaurant. Must be self-motivated to constantly improve in all aspects (most importantly knowledge and attention to detail while maintaining and improving speed) with the guidance from Chef Chris and staff. Experience is preferred but we are happy to teach motivated cooks.
The position is hourly five days a week with 40 hours of regular pay and between 15-20 hours of overtime. Two days off are scheduled in a row for employees convenience. We contribute 50% to health insurance that is available to employees after 90 days. This is a year-round position!! Staff meal is provided daily.
